Basket grinder is suitable for small batch production (easy to change color), pre dispersed and lapping can be completed in a paint tank. The spindle can be adjusted speed, stable operation, low noise, less ancillary equipment, easy cleaning, easy replacement of grinding medium.
The mixing blades of the basket grinder are mounted on separate independent bushings, the speed can be set, the grinding basket is equipped with abrasive medium, and the grinding medium is generally zirconia beads.
The selection of grinding medium should be determined according to the requirements of the production process, including the speed of the grinding machine, the number of materials, the viscosity and hardness of the material.
In addition, the particle size of the grinding medium should be determined according to the fineness of the filter screen at the bottom of the grinding basket.
Because of the characteristics of the basket type lapping machine, the grinding medium is generally chosen as zirconia bead. Zirconium oxide beads, not known as "TZP" zirconium beads, are made from micron and subnano scale zirconia and yttrium oxide as raw materials. It is a kind of abrasive beads used for ultra-fine grinding and dispersing of materials requiring "zero pollution" and high viscosity and high hardness. The zirconia beads we often use include 85 zircons, 95 zircons and so on.
When we use the basket grinding machine, if the speed is less than 1000r/min, the material mobility is better, the material hardness is more than 85 zirconium beads, when the speed is more than 1000r/min, the 95 zirconium beads must be selected. Otherwise, the zirconium beads are easily worn and broken, and the filter screen will be blocked.
